Devlog #2 17.08.21
Brief introduction
The day was mainly spent developing and adding a few more mechanics.
Development of the day
Some new features were successfully added but some of them caused some problems of course. These include the addition of checkpoints placed evenly throughout the level, ladders that allow access to high platforms, moving platforms, a fixed cannon that shoots projectiles in a straight or curved line and collectables, important elements as the player must collect enough of them in each level to progress.
Unfortunately I didn't manage to implement stairs, which would have added some relief to the level design, a wall slide and a weapon recoil.
The next step is to add enemies and spikes so that I can quickly advance through the levels which will be quite large.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the day was quite productive, my failures allow me to relativize the number of features I will integrate into the game, which is not a bad thing if I want to finish in time. I'll keep you posted on my future progress.
