Brief introduction

I continued to work actively on the project today but there is still so much to do. :/


Development of the day

This day was mainly dedicated to the creation of the different menus of the game: the main screen, the end screen and the pause menu. I didn't integrate any other important mechanics, at this stage I prefer to focus on tweaking some aspects. I have nevertheless integrated a new enemy, a moving ball of spikes, in order to better regulate the difficulty of the level and to bring some diversity.


Art of the day

I did a lot of sprite integration today, you'll see the appearance of dangerous spiky spikes, the cannons also have a more appropriate look but I'd like to animate it. The checkpoints have been reworked, I find the result very satisfactory. I finally integrated the final sprite of the ladders, it's finally starting to take shape!


Conclusion

In short, a lot of integration and a bit of code and bug fixes, not the most challenging work but it's necessary. Next major step: polishing, which mainly consists in adding FX and feedbacks of all kinds.
